St. Norbert General

Getting read for #Rink1LastRide on Saturday against UNE. A few notes about St. Norbert's time on Tim Coghlin Rink (Rink 1) at Cornerstone Community Center before the move a few dozen yards to the south in October.

* - St. Norbert is 338-47-19 all-time since moving into the Cornerstone in Fall 2000.
* - The CCC will be hosting its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance, and its 23rd NCAA Tournament game, this Saturday against UNE. The Green Knights are 18-3-1 in NCAA Tournament games on Rink 1. The 23 NCAA home games in the facility are more games than all but 14 Division III programs have played all-time in the 40+ years of the tournament.
* - In NCHA and NCAA single-elimination tournament play, St. Norbert is 49-3 all-time on Rink 1.
* - UNE is the first East Region team to play in a NCAA Tournament game in the Cornerstone, ironically in the last game St. Norbert (is scheduled to) play(s) there. Middlebury played St. Norbert in 1999 at the De Pere Ice Arena, won by Middlebury in a mini-game.

The record in single elimination games is probably the most impressive part. I've been to almost all of those games since 2011 and I've never seen them lose one.

UNE will be tough. They've already gone into Utica and knocked out that perennial national power from the NCAA not once but twice!

Team is 2nd in the country in the polls, got a home game in the tournament, and still can't get Utica out of your head :ROFLMAO:

I just hope if they win and have to go to Hobart, we don't get a 3rd straight year of Coghlin crying at a press conference

So, Hobart plays the winner of St.Norbert v UNE. This should be a great matchup, although playing at St.Norbert will be really tough for UNE. Hobart has played both of these teams in the NCAAs.Hobart lost to St.Norbert in the 2006 semis at Elmira that was decided in OT . Good luck to both teams.....The winners prize......Hobart Hockey at the THE COOLER.

As usual, you missed the point. The secondhand meth fumes you inhale at the Aud must really be heinous.

The point is you have an unhealthy obsession with Utica when, if we're keeping it a buck, Utica knocked them out last year and you really don't have room to talk, but you'll continue to just be obsessed because you think you're doing something when you're not

Yet you're the one responding to it...
