St. Lawrence U.

I think we could actually "beat" the Mark Morris 2019-20 total of 4 wins. See that SLU Hockey tuque above my handle? I'm too embarrassed to wear that at Wegmans.
Don't tell me you have a Wegmans up there ? We don't have one in the Utica-Rome area !

Thanks for the congrats. Brekke must have channeled Herb Brooks, I guess. Wegmans? I can now wear the tuque again in my town of Greece--just NE of Sweden! Sadly, I only make it up to Canton once or twice a year.

Wegmans would have to tear regular customers away from Tops and Sav A Lot, and I guess if Aldi hasn't come in, Wegmans won't, either. Let's face it, the North Country is just different--I mean, look at Kinney Drugs!

my hope is SLU wastes no time and gets the ball rolling once the season ends. Clean house and get the coaching candidates on campus quickly. In no particular order I would be on the lookout for names like
Bill Riga, Jason tapp, cam Ellsworth, Joel Beal. My wildcard is Rick Bennett and greg Moore.
Good choices. Brown should be looking at them as well with Brendan Whittet stepping down.

I’m sure they will be. I don’t know if they would want to take on a job like brown. Brown has been terrible for years which begs the question how much support is there for hockey?

Great bounce-back on his part--never could understand how a goaltender can put the past aside and focus squarely and narrowly on the present.
Not bad for the rest of the guys, too. Svartstrom is starting to become a real force, as is Santilli. Let's have good games next weekend against the Capitol District!

A congrats on saturday's win, you guys are making strides forward. I wish my alma mater on the other side of town would become a powerhouse again ! We were national NJCAA champions both years I played there.

They knocked off #4 Oswego the other night

05 D Will Bishop commits to St Lawrence, currently plays for Kingston Frontenacs. He was an OHL call-up in 22-23, spending half the season with Sudbury Wolves. his first full season was with Saginaw in 23-24, winning the 2024 Memorial Cup. He was traded to Kingston at the deadline last year and was given a letter for his overage season. They aren't a very good team and are super young- average age is under 18. 6'6, 209 lb. Not a big point producer but he's a good get for your blue line with the size, leadership, championship experience etc

SUNY Canton beat Oswego ?
Yes, they beat #4 Oswego 4-1 at Oswego on Saturday night. Not having anything close to the seasons they had, racking up 15 NJCAA National Championships under Terry Martin, but they knock off and show some glimpses versus the big dogs from time to time.
