Thompson with a burst of speed into the offensive zone and he blows by two defenders and skates in all alone and hits the post, yikes! 1-1 still 1:20 left in the 1st

The Saints looks strong that period for the most part. We seemed to have a lot of energy and we nearly had a 2nd or a 3rd with some great efforts. I will mention that Bayruther seems to having an off night, not sure what might be going on there as he has been fighting it from time to time this season.

Saints kill the penalty and now there is 12:00 to go in the 2nd still tied 1-1 ... Not much happening this period, a few chances either way, pretty even.

St. Lawrence penalty now with 8:38 to go in the 2nd. Nothing was called until the roar of the crowd then sure enough the hand comes up! :rolleyes:

St. Lawrence kills the penalty and Smolczynski comes in all alone out of the box and Gillam stops him cold on the breakaway! Still 1-1 with 5:25 to go in the 2nd period
