St Lawrence @ RPI, Saturday, 11/16/24

St. Lawrence penalty with 4:52 to play.

RPI with a chance to open up a two-goal lead or, at least, take a couple minutes off the clock.

Good win. Should have been a penalty on the check after Beaton’s goal (two strides after puck was released) and then the same refs turned around and allowed a goal, presumably because the goaltender interference occurred a fraction of a second before the SOG.

Watched the reply numerous times. Call on the ice was no goal due to goalie interference and the video seemed to show the classic definition that defines interference with the goal tender' stick while in the blue paint just before the goal. In any case there was not enough to show definitively enough to overturn the i\on ice decision. Just another case of a call that was incorrect going against RPI. And as far as the check on Beaton after his EN goal, if we had done anything like that we would be facing a suspension!

I know that he isn't a referee, but with a guy in stripes named Noeth on the ice, you have to expect calls/noncalls like that.

Way back in the past Jenny coined the phrase that summed up our feelings about the elder Noeth. Noweth Knoweth nothing! Was in the running for most bad calls in an RPI game with a few others during that era - Pierre, the Murphys, and Harry Amian.
