Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Hey!!!

McKenzie from Raley and Vermuelen with less than a minute in OT!!!!!

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Tough one for Colgate to lose, giving up two leads, but what a win for the Saints. Good game.

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

I was getting nervous for Mike, with Bob only having next weekend to see Mike until the playoffs due to his TSN commitments with the Olympics. Mike gets 2 points tonight and now only needs one more to reach the century mark.

Luckilly, I'll be at the next 6 games for sure, maybe the next 8.

I'll see you at either RPI or Union.

Ok:

Cornell W
Yale L
Union T
SLU W.

Cornell improves on their lead, up to 3. They stand at 20

Union improves to 18

SLU improves to 18.

3-way tie for 2nd again, 2 points back of Cornell.

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Ouch. Played so well for most of the night, but it just slipped away at the end. Game was lost when Colgate couldn't convert 4 PPs in the 1st, 6 overall on the night. Entertaining game, fast, physical play. Hurts to lose a close one like that, especially one where the team played so well for several good stretches. Tough one, they'll have to rebound next weekend at Princeton/Quinnipiac

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Vermeulen keeps his point streak and the PK is perfect the last 6 games. Great heart and determination shown by the Saints tonight.

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Thanks for the help, SLU.

RPI and Colgate are now tied for 5th in the standings, though Colgate holds a 1-game advantage, both in GP and W-L.

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

Huge come from behind win, and much needed. A split on this trip was probably what most of us hoped for, and I would have settled for a tie tonight. Another tough roadie next weekend, but Union has hit a bit of a slump, however RPI is a bit inconsistent lately.

Re: St. Lawrence at Colgate, 1/30/10

That was a good game and a huge win for SLU. Derek Keller is doing it all right now. Congrats to the boys on a gritty effort. I feel bad for Don Vaughan but must say beating Colgate never gets old.
