Re: St. Francis Xavier @ UNH Exhibition (10/2/10)

Maine with third and 5 from the UNH 16. Under two to play. Crunch time.

Maine with a touchdown on the fourth and 5 :(

Great catch in the back corner of the end zone. 13-13. 1:12 left.

Re: St. Francis Xavier @ UNH Exhibition (10/2/10)

UNH starts from their own 34 with 1:06 left. Now a first down at UNH's 47 with 30 ticks left.

Long pass to gives them a first down at the Maine 14!!! Hit the backup tight end, who ran to daylight. Three plays, 51 yards, 18 seconds left on the clock.

Re: St. Francis Xavier @ UNH Exhibition (10/2/10)

33 yard field goal attempt with two ticks on the clock. Maine has a 6'6" linebacker set up to try to block it.

It's blocked

Re: St. Francis Xavier @ UNH Exhibition (10/2/10)

Maine wins the toss in OT, and will play defense first.

Re: St. Francis Xavier @ UNH Exhibition (10/2/10)

Maine has the ball now, so they must have recovered a turnover, or UNH was stopped (had to go outside for a sec).

Maine field goal attempt is from 37 yards, and Maine wins in OT 16-13. :(

They get the musket.

Well at least your arrival kept the night from being a total downer. Great to "see" you, Chad...

Is this the Xavier in Antigonish, Nova Scotia? We overnighted there on a vacation on the way up to Cape Breton -- neat little town.

Yes it is. Kind of a sloppy game tonight overall. First line looked really good and Digi had his moments. No injuries or fights tonight, which is all you can really hope for in an exhibition game. Umile's decision to not dress four of his players for an exhibition game and play the starting goalie all 65 minutes completely baffles me though.

Thanks (it really is a cool college-size-appropriate town in a beautiful setting). As long as no-one is hurt, I guess I'm OK with it also.
