St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

You better hope Eaves has a good incoming recruiting class because if Barnes and Zengerle are the best of this year's lot, the Badgers are in trouble.

Unusually limited talent for a Badger team and extremely young, but Zengerle is as good a playmaker as there is in the conference. Best I've seen this year (haven't watched the dogs this year yet, and that will change things).

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

5 minute major and a game DQ for a CFB. And these two morons are like "oh that's at most a 2 minute minor."

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

Worst announcers ever. Unbelievable.

The Game Disqualification to Woods well deserved on a clear intent to injure.

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

Did these jack wagons just say Eddy helped by throwing himself into the boards???

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

I think there were some iffy calls in that game, but the CFB at the end was a textbook call, and I like that they called it a DQ instead of a misconduct. It looked like an intentional hit, and with only 20 seconds left in the game, a misconduct would be pretty pointless.

I'm less certain about the 5 minute contact to the head back in the 1st period, but he'll be back tomorrow.

Don't know who the announcers were, but they both need to check the rulebook one of these days.

Re: St. Cloud State at Wisconsin - Friday

A game misconduct or a game DQ (there is a big difference)? And is that the SCSU broadcast or UW?

Game DQ, NOT just a misconduct.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the WCHA tacked another game or two on.... that looked like an intent to injure, to be honest.

And the broadcast was BTN

Thanks. BTN hockey coverage is a joke from what I hear. Who was the DQ on?

Rob Andringa (former Badger defenseman) and Dan Kelly (Blues announcer). That was a 3-hour insult to my intelligence as a hockey fan.

I thought last week was bad when almost every factoid they tried to say was incorrect. This week we found out they would prefer to set the rulebook on fire and turn hockey into some kind of hockey/soccer/lacrosse hybrid.

Were they even in the building for that game, because apparently they sometimes aren't, doing the games from the Chicago studio instead...
