St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

Re: St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

Intentionally running the goalie? I guess scoring a goal was just a bonus...
Like I said, I don't know the rule, but are you allowed to take a shot, then put your shoulder down and throw a football block on the goalie? If you are, I certainly hope DU players will start doing it more. Seems like a pretty effective move.

Did you miss the part where your guy shoved Dowd into him?

Re: St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

Dowd was shoved into Brittan after he scored, how is it interference if he's shoved into him by your guy?

I'll have to see another replay, but it looked to me like your dude crashed the net and bounced out goaltender's head off the crossbar after the puck went in. If he was "directed" into the goaltender by one of our dudes, then you are right. The refs obviously disagree with you.

If that happened, I definitely missed it.

In any case, DU has been outplayed from one end of the game to the other. I really hope they come out sharper tomorrow.

And let's hope they still have something miraculous in them tonight.

Certainly looked like it from the replays I saw.
And you'll forgive me if I don't trust the opinions of refs in this league. :)

While I'm skeptical of your opinion on this one, I will indeed forgive you for not trusting the refs, as well. :D

Re: St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

Huskies play a hell of a game, and DU can't catch a break on anything (except that post on the empty net). A bad combination for the Pioneers.

Re: St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

I most certainly hope that they get better luck, play better, and face less stout goaltending tomorrow.

Re: St. Cloud State at Denver 11/2/12

Although I hate when the Pioneers lose, I certainly believe that a team can learn from a loss. DU had so many chances to score, but SCSU's goaltender and their effort was paramount to their win. SCSU came out tonight and outplayed our guys from start to finish. Congrats to the Huskies tonight. I expect a much better effort from the get-go tomorrow night from the Pios. It will be interesting to hear Gwoz's take on the game. I'm guessing that he's not too happy.

2 goals against in 3 games for Faragher, he is playing darn well and so is the defense.

I agree. Will Faragher play in net tomorrow night? I suspect that we will have the flyin' Finn between the pipes tomorrow night. Hopefully, from our stand point, it will be a much different result. And I hope Zach "The Yak" Larazza will be in the lineup.

I never said he didn't deserve a penalty. I am just saying he didn't intentionally run the goalie, as evidenced by the fact he still made a good enough play on the puck to put it in the net.

This mighty comeback is going to be started by Joey Leggs. And then NShore will tie it with around 10 minutes left. And, finally, either NShore or a Mermi will win it with under a minute to play (the refs will have to look at it to determine who scored the goal). Take it to the bank!!!!!

I took it to the bank, it came back "Insufficient Funds"
