St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

Re: St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

Have to say it's pretty generic. I like the old one better.

I feel ashamed that I got a graphic design degree from there with their communications department producing work like this.

And they were told that a few months ago when they first came out with a couple designs on this, yet they still pushed it through.
It's looking like a money grab and I think they are going to be disappointed.
No one I've talked to likes this thing.

At least it's not a replacement logo. You'll still have the old one. It really looks like the new UConn one. Which was also a huge downgrade.

It is a replacement for the current dog head.
The STC is going nowhere but this is the new secondary one replacing the dog head.

Re: St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

When they had people vote on twitter between this and another secondary logo, the other logo seemed like it won in a landslide.

I have yet to see anyone who likes this new logo.

Re: St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

It just doesn't even look like a husky anymore. Some sort of spitz breed with a beard and some five o'clock shadow in places, sure.

I don't think it looks so bad. But I did really like the old one.

Oh yes you're right. I mistakenly thought it was the alternative to the old husky logo.

Re: St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

Never really liked the old dog head, wasn't terrible, but looked like it had a face tattoo. I like this a little better, but it's nothing special.

So you go from a face tattoo to a goatee....

Re: St. Cloud State 2013-14 Season Thread: A Tough Act to Follow

The school's Twitter account has apparently been asking people with the "old" logo on their feeds to please change it since it's now "retired."

SCSU gets a commit from 16 year old Robby Jackson.
Scored 28 goals for Chicago in the USHL, setting a new record for 16-year-olds

Hope they told the school's Twitter account to go **** itself

New logos starting to go up around campus and on a new secondary (ugly) helmet for the football team.
