It's certainly possible the Allman Bros. covered Midnight Rambler, but I think it's more likely you were referring to the well known Midnight Rider...

Nat 'King' Cole: Ramblin' Rose

The Allman Brothers Band sang "Ramblin Man" also, so that was a combination.
