I will admit that I'm as big of a Bode fan as their can be... But *** was with the post-race interview... Old Bode would have slapped that reporter for asking about his brother 3 farking times  You know he misses him... You know he was racing for him... You already asked about it... Why did you go back to that TWO MORE TIMES and force the emotion out of him

As far as today goes.... Booooo Fog  Tried staying up for the Men's SBX race, but visibility was too poor to venture on... Guess it took out a biathlon race as well.. I blame Putin for this :p Either way, they will try again tomorrow in both cases...
A buddy from High School competing in the event posted a photo on Facebook of the start line, fog was so bad the photo was just a grey blob. Couldn't see anything.

With all the money spent on these Games, you'd think Putin could've bothered to put a weather machine on the credit card. ;)

Wonder if that goalie really wanted to come into the game. If I were her I would have been hiding under the bench.

Hey, Sweden just cleared the zone!

Re: Sochi Olympics Results thread - SPOILERS

I turned on the women's hockey game right at the end of the 1st period, heard that the US was outshooting Sweden 29-1, and decided I'd watch something else. :p

After 2 periods, Sweden has started to claw back. Shots are now 51-6, much better than that 29-1 1st period.

You know Nick? Cool... Yea, saw his video update... I'm curious how this is gonna play out tomorrow... No qualifying so lane selection is based on World Cup points... Trevor and Nick should be ok being 4 and 7 respectively... Seeing Nate back in 15th is gonna be interesting given that his starts aren't the greatest because of injuries... Lane selection seemed to make a bit of difference on the starts of the Women's races...

How bout the guy post curling match? GOing on about how our Curling team was rec and the rest of the teams were AAU, maybe we shouldn't be playing and other really harsh things. Absolutely agree it was embarrassing to watch but for a guy who is ignorant about Curling to say all the stuff he waid was a bit over the line. Let the experts say stuff. The poor guy on the right was just searching for words.

I took a shower at the end of the hockey game, came back out to the living room to find the ice dancing going on, giving a score to the German team. Tanje Kolbe - impressive cans.

Although there are several key differences between the two, I find it funny that baseball/softball always got blasted for lacking parity/development of talent, and yet here we are with Women's hockey...

The difference is that there are european countries that like hockey. Baseball is popular is North America, Latin America/Carribbean, and Eastern Asia, all places the IOC doesn't give two ****s about.

The difference is that baseball declined to send its best players.

Softball got caught in the crossfire. (Same Olympic federation as baseball.)

Pierre having a good cry over the disallowed Canada goal.

Not saying he's wrong, but he can't help but be a homer.
