SNC offseason thread

As some of us probably hoped, they got a goalie to come in next year so they'll be a little better positioned for 11-12. I'll take his coach's comments with a grain of salt since I highly doubt he knows anything about SNC's roster, but if he is good enough to start here next year I'll be quite happy with the recruiting effort here...unless he knows something about O'Brien's status the rest of us don't. And no, I don't know anything and I'm not implying anything. Just making a general comment.

In the paragraphs above, he talks about a player being able to turn a Collegiate Career at Castleton into professional opportunities in hockey...

yeah, this guy is definitely the expert on DIII hockey

Don't forget, Castleton is a member of teh ECAC-East, arguably the toughest division III conference in the country.

On a more serious note, he did say "I think Kinnebrew could potentially parlay DIII into some professional opportunities at some point."", not necessarily an NHL opportunity.

Does SNC play Castleton next year?

SNC has been known to squeak into the post season, so there is a real possibility – and Castleton’s prospects are looking up, with Norwich being Tallent-less and Klinger gone ;)

Do we no anything on there play besides stats and were try will fit in to the team next year.
Great job on the commitment list Mr Webb

Re: SNC offseason thread

I would 'guestimate' that we might see another forward and 2 D-men added:cool:
Heard that a forward, from the Ntl Championship team, will be returning for his senior year...
That will be a big return. They could use a physical 2 way player to replace Allen.

Re: SNC offseason thread

langford?
It had been speculated since last summer when we learned he was suspended for 09-10 but not necessarily kicked out of school like several others. I'm hoping the word on the street is accurate.

I really like how this squad is shaping up for next year if they can find at least one stay at home defenseman they can trust and 2 guys with top 2 line skill sets who can hit the ground running. I'm hoping a younger returnee like Joanette, Nemgar, or Stroh can take a significant jump and become a 12 or 15 goal and point per game guy to fill voids left by Allen, Wheeler, and Boyd. They'll have terrific offensive contributions from their returning defenseman and they'll have quite a few solid two way forwards with the Ryd-Pulak-Longley line returning to match up against other top lines and if our not so mysterious returnee is in fact back in the fold.

This is my first time posting on here I am usually just a reader to keep updated on the d3 ranks... a quick question for the SNC faithful, any early exits for the Green Knights? They usually have one or two a year...

Haven't heard of any yet, but info doesn't always get out. Tim doesn't really talk about personnel in public. Very few people knew much about last year's situation until well into the summer when one of the guys who was asked to leave showed up on a minor league roster.

Happy Feast Day!!

June 6 (Traditional Calendar)
Norbert was born in the Rhineland around 1080 and educated at the imperial court. In 1115 a narrow escape from death turned him wholly to God. He took Holy Orders, gave all his posessions to the poor, and journeyed about the Rhineland as an intinerant preacher. Later, guided by the Holy Spirit, he founded near Soissons the Premonstratensian Order, which soon spread over Western Europe.

As part of the SNC day celebration on the De Pere campus, the mens and women hockey teams have scheduled a 'meet & greet' event at the new Schneider Football Stadium, roughly one mile south of the campus, starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, according to this weeks De Pere Journal.
