Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

One point is better than none, but we are not playing 60 minutes.
I don't know what the coaching staff has to do to get these guys interested two games in a row.

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

From just observing the thread, sounds like a pretty even game. Obviously with the sister kissing it was officially an even game (though a loss for me, I don't have a sister :( ). In the long run, given how close the teams are, as well as our tiebreak advantage against Yale, this may end up being a very important point.

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

OK. We'll take the point. A win tomorrow and we gain two against either U or SLU. That's good enough to keep 4th in view.

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

RPI did not play a bad game-just a few minute lapse early in the second and 2 quick goals were the difference. Although not as bad as a few other games, someone has to check out the skate sharpening-we are still falling all over the place. No question-this is a good SLU team that can really control play and hurt you. But we match up well and the games between these 2 teams will be close.

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

Fair result. I thought that SLU was very good on the forecheck. You're right, a solid 60 minutes makes a win much more likely in this game. Things that I saw, Lee is going to be a force in this league. He hasn't scored, but he has drawn a boatload of penalties. Including 2 critical to tonight's result. And Foss impressed me with his awareness. All-in-all, a very good college hockey game.

I think that's a tad harsh. RPI had a bad lapse early in the second, but that was it. And if you ask me, they played plenty hard but were lucky to be ahead after the first, so it evened out.

SLU did a great job of keeping Mr. D'Amigo to the outside all night, but he was still in the middle of everything when they tied it up.

Thanks to all who watched our stream tonight. It was definitely one of our finest productions. Nonetheless, if you think we can improve in _any_ way, please email sports@rpitv.org with your feedback. You can always email me at hamilr2@rpi.edu . And if you're at the Field House, feel free to visit us up at the top of the stands and say hi!

I watched via B2. Nice job, good announcing. That was an enjoyable game all the way around.

I meant no disrespect to SLU, they played a good game.
I was merely comparing the way we played against Yale to the way we played tonight.
No contest.
