Not a horrible period but RPI definitely a step slower at the beginning of the period and it cost them. The difference from my perwspective is that SLU defensemen are playing very good positional hockey and have ketp all the traffic away from the front of the net-RPI has allowed just enough action in front of their own net and the score is pretty reflective of the game play. Need to come out with energy for the third period and get one back early.

Period two ends. The period reminded me too much of the Brown game.
We did not win puck battles and always seemed to be a step behind.
They picked it up the last five minutes, so I hope they can continue that into the third.

Well. That was quite a period. SLU did everything: special teams, physical play, speed, forechecking, shot blocking, you name it.

The good news for RPI is that SLU probably can't play a much more solid period than that, and it's a one-goal game.

I predict that the press conference will involve Coach Marsh saying this was "an excellent college hockey game."

I note that the broadcast message says there'll be a replay of the game tomorrow--but not WHEN. Anybody know?
