LET'S GO RED!!!!
Hopefully RPI can keep the positives going after last weekend's win over Yale. This game is huge if we want to have a shot at a first round bye. Hope the boys come out fast in the first period and get the W in Troy Friday night LET'S GO RED!!!

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

It's doubtful that I will be here, as I am on business. RPI needs this one to most likely at least keep pace with Union, Yale, and Colgate; obviously we know what would happen with the other close team. Can RPI put together a 60-minute effort? Will SLU sweep the series? This will all be answered tonight.

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

With only 8 games remaining, every game is important. We have a chance to make the top 4, but we have to be ready for every game. No more performances like we saw against Brown.
We have the talent to win them all, now we have to have the will.

LETS GO RED!!!!!!!

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

This one shapes up to be real close-I would even predict a likely tie-but I think SA will have these guys ready and tell them that no one the rest of this season beats us in our own barn. Another game where special teams may decide it-perhaps Kotyra will surprise me and actually go unnoticed? :)

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

I wonder if we'll see Tyler and Patrick back in the lineup tonight?
If they both play then I hope the coach splits them up. They didn't look great together last week and putting them both with AAG every other game keeps AAG from establishing any consistency. I'd like to see Helfrich, AAG and Halpern out there as a line just to see if the extra energy from Halpern will help the others.

Personally, I would like to see the Freshmen back together and Helfrich back with Polacek. JMO

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

Surprising a bit-but perhaps a case of not wanting to monkey with what has worked.

Could be that, or could be that SA simply believes that he is putting the best guys on the ice for the game. He has echoed that statement several times recently about playing the guys who give him the best chance to win. He sees all the players every day in practice. I for one trust his judgment about the lineup enough to take it over a desire to see certain players on the ice.

Legends of '85, an interactive discussion featuring four members of the 1985 NCAA championship winning RPI Men's Hockey team, will be broadcast live on the internet by RPI TV:

Preferred link:

Backup link:

If the internet feed fails for whatever reason (and we are having a bit of difficulty with this setup), don't worry, we'll have the whole event on our Website tomorrow.

Absolutely, it is his team, and he will go with the players that give him the best chance to win.
I am sorry not to see Helfrich in the game, but whether it is injury or attitude that is keeping him out, it is what is best for the team.

Thank you for that broadcast. For those of us that were not fans at the time of the championship, this was a great way to get connected to that team.
A very enjoyable press conference

An excellent broadcast. For those who didn't watch it, as RHamilton wrote, it will be archived on RPITV.

Great stuff-nice to relive one of the most exciting years in my life-following one of the best college hockey teams of all time!

Re: Slu @ Rpi 2/5/2010

The press conference was great. Having never seen any of them play live (never mind the fact that I wasn't even born at the time of their championship run), they came across as 20-something year old guys hanging out after another win.

I'm headed up to the HFH again. Hopefully, I come back to this computer tonight after an Engineers win.
