Came across this while trolling the interwebs... This is the first Red Bull publicity stunt in awhile that might actually be worth watching. Guy is going to spend 3 hours riding up in a balloon to 120,000 feet, jump out, free fall for 5 and a half minutes, break the sound barrier, then attempt to walk away.

I'm kinda liking our new privatized "space program" :D

Didn't they try this before and the balloon popped before they took off? Or was that guy just trying to break the record for highest altitude achieved in a hot air balloon?

red bull or NASA?

NASA has done this before. Kind of a proof of concept that you could survive a jump from very high altitude if something went that wrong.

Energy drink companies know better than to F-*-*-* (EDIT: you have to put dashes in there now?!?!?!) with Chuck.

A parachute will be involved. (And if not... YouTube fame!)

Hopefully he does not reach "terminal velocity."
