Sioux @ Badgers

Re: Sioux @ Badgers

All I can say is: SUCK IT WCHA REFS!!

And lol at Wisconsin. I really can't believe they didn't win let alone score a goal with the amount of PP time they got.

GO SIOUX!!

Re: Sioux @ Badgers

Murray never made it back into the game. concussion? laceration to the forehead? lost chicklets?

solid game, albeit boring.

I'll say this for the sioux, 2 5-min majors, knock one guy out of the game (UW's leading goal scorer) and depending on the angle (i'll have to see it again) on Simonelli you've got some really unecessary rough chit going on

what goes around as they say

I think you need to take off the glasses or something when you watch those replays. Just saying...

So eventually a hit to the head, of which there have been multiple, will be called against one of UND's opponent? Awesome.

Badgers spent most of the game on the powerplay.
The Sioux played shorthanded most of the game.
Considering that, who should have won that game?

your team knocked murray out. what if Simonelli also didn't return (did you see his neck snap back from that hit?)?

you know what I'm saying dirty. eventually a sioux player is going to get run over and get knocked out of the game or worse and it may be a head down thing at which point sioux nation will go nuts...

then what? you'll say the opposition was dirty? the refs should call 5?

you team has built it's own rep (look at how many major's they've taken this season as you've already pointed out). that's got nothing to do with me as a fan of UW or any other opposing team's fans. right now UND is lucky UW doesn't have a McDonagh or Burish to enforce for Murray or Simonelli because there'd be 2 hextalls or 2 gleason's walking around right now after they'd gotten their bells rung right back.

and maybe that's the way it needs to be then. maybe Craig Smith or someone else will have to come out and enforce, when they see a sioux player head down go right in 3-4 strides elbow or shoulder first and follow through with everything they've got.

I don't want to hear crying from any sioux fan when that happens. and it WILL happen. may not be UW but someone will have enough of it. maybe UNO, maybe SCSU or Tech.

it was an even game the whole way. und's pp didn't look that great either. so what?

I'm not ****ed about uw losing. I'm ****ed about how Hakstol coaches his teams to play. this didn't start tonight. throw in running brendan smith (a very similar hit to jesse martin) and many others. it's a pattern. and I'm tired of seeing it

Good grief - stop it. If there is a dirty hit, that's one thing. You're saying an opposing player should deliberately take a dirty hit against the Sioux because they play a physical game. There were no dirty hits tonite and you are advocating dirty play. Get a clue.

Go watch the replay again. The hit was shoulder to shoulder from the side and well away from the boards. How do you want NCAA Men's Hockey to be played?

Wow, what a freaking tool. Do the names Genoway and Bina ring a bell? We have our own fair share of players who get injured because of 'dirty' hits. I can see why the refs called the penalty on Gleason but the 5 minute major on Hextall was a bs call.

Also a Sioux player did get hit by a questionable elbow to the head and hasn't played a game since(Carter Rowney). Yet there was no call made. Huh, funny.

I'm advocating for someone to enforce against these guys and it will then stop. take that any way you want. if the sioux got run like they do to other teams Hakstol would change his tune.

I'll cede it's possible that Simonelli hit was legit/clean. I'll have to see it again.

I'll also say Hextall knew what he was doing when he ran elbow first into murray. you don't like it fine. it is what it is

In other news the game is over and it's 1-0 and some interpetations of certain plays are different than others including those of fans of other teams not playing in this one.

yeah Chenoway and Bina...UW didn't take em out. And I'm on record here ripping the hell out of Marvin for that.

but don't get all high and mighty on me about your team sustaining injuries when they dish this out ALL THE TIME.

UW hasn't played that way since Sean Hill and that was ONE guy. Your team has a history with it since Hakstol took over. You may wanna play that one up'smanship game somewhere else cause with UW it won't work.
