Sioux @ Badgers

Re: Sioux @ Badgers

Must be game night...the site is slower than molasses.

Re: Sioux @ Badgers

And that makes it a dirty hit? A major and 1 game suspension?

what do you think? guy has his head down and is defenseless. you choose to run him and follow through w/your elbow. that's with tonight and w/martin. I say yes it's a major, and suspension or not gets decided by the league

There was no elbow. Like I said before, ask a DU fan what they thought of the hit.

That first part isn't a penalty. The second part is, but it didn't happen that way tonight.

The reality is though, that with the attention being paid to head injuries/concussions, hockey and football are going to start being called differently. Players have to adjust accordingly.

And NoDak leads 1-0.

I thought it was Gregoire, but the announcer says the goal was scored by Greg Wire. He must be a new player...

Admittedly without having seen the hit, this sounds to me like the Eagles DB hit on Collie. What exactly is Hextall supposed to do in this situation? There still does need to be responsibility on the offensive player rather than making the defensive player responsible for what both players do.

I agree with you, but I think the games are going to be called differently.

Like that.

It's going to lead to fewer hits, fewer collisions and arguably less exciting hockey and football.
