Sadly, everything in those type of reddit subs is fiction writing either to get a reaction or to practice settings and plot on a live (albeit stupid) audience.
A few years ago r/AITA did a secret survey of contributors where they had the writer mark whether the submission was real, and then they released only the topline number. >90% were fake.
If you read for a few months, the same stories crop up with changes, somebody posts a "topper" thread, and in general you get good seeing when posts are fake. At this point, the answer is: every one of them.
There are some gated advice subs where the signal to noise is still moderately high, but you'll also never be admitted to them. Just enjoy the inanity.
