Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

I was able to get us to 12 after next weekend with the following scenario.
Tech sweeps, Miami/ Duluth split the first two, ( no game three in the comparison,as of yet) Harvard get's swept, BU sweeps lowell. It's not impossible. I find it hard to think Duluth can win 4 straight vs Miami. RPI and Harvard is more of a problem, pretty unlikely, though RPI did just get some hurt guys back, and the lowell series will most likely go three.

Give me all your series winners and how many games and series results for big ten games and I'll give you the pwr.

BC sweep, Providence sweep, ND over Northeastern in 3, BU sweep
QU sweep, Yale sweep, RPI sweep, St Lawrence sweep

interesting.
what about. MTU sweep, MSUM in 3, BG in 3, NMU in 3, und sweep, scsu sweep, DU in 3, umd in 3, BC sweep, Provi sweep, yale in 3, st lawrence in 3, QU sweep, harvard in 3, MSu split, michigan split, mn sweep, rmu sweep, afa sweep, holy cross in 3, rit in 3.
thanks,
I forgot, NE over ND in 3, and seems to me Duluth is the hottest team in all of hockey right now. I would rather they play Qpac or BC in round 1.

What about Northeastern v Notre Dame and Boston U vs UMass-Lowell?

Well, looks like MTU is 13th no matter what happens in the BU/UML series, but if UML wins even a game, it makes it hard to pass UML later on.

Best plan ever:

1. MTU wins out
2. ...
3. Profit!

Yes sir, best plan ever...but as a backup, root against Harvard, UML, Minnesota, Northeastern, UMD, Penn State.

EDIT: It certainly would be nice to add their name to the Broadmoor Trophy for the first time ever as well.

I certainly am feeling good about my jersey name choices from last year's order:
Tanner Kero, WCHA MVP, Captain of the first team to host playoffs since the 1990s
Alex Petan, likely WCHA MVP, Captain of the first team to win the MacNaughton Cup in 40 years, the rest is to be determined.

Will there be another jersey order in the (near?) future? I was a bum last year and didn't take advantage...

For anyone that is interested, the plan now is to take "orders" from anyone that wants one and when we get to the 25 jersey minimum (per color) for one of the jerseys, we'll ramp things up and get that color ordered.

Drop me an email through here and I'll add you to the list.

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

With it being a split, where does the cup stay for the year? On another note why is it a split when someone HAS to be 1st? :)

How about 6 months in Mankato, 5 months in Houghton, and as a courtesy from MTU, 1 month in Bemidji?

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

I'm not sure who pays to ship the Cup around, but I would be in favor of Tech giving up part of their time with the cup to allow each team in the WCHA a weekend to display it for a couple home games. If the WCHA is hurting for fans/money/support, it would be an easy way to get fans in the door for one weekend in each rink. Tech only plays half of their games at home so that leaves plenty of time for it to be in Mankato or on the road. At the very least it would be a nice gesture to let others appreciate the history of the Cup and see what everyone is playing for each season.

Mel was on USCHO Live! last night. Podcast is on iTunes.

Nothing new, but some good promotion of the program, fans in the copper country compared to AA/East Lansing. And really tried to spread around the credit for the recent success to Mroz, Sanregret, Muckalt, Whitten, Shuchuk and Shawhan.
