My theory is that the NCHC is hoping the UND fans stick around so that more than 75 people will be at the night game

The NCHC wants the top seed to have preferential treatment. This way, they have the maximum amount of recovery time between games. Makes sense. The conference as a whole would rather see our best team get/stay in the best possible position for the regionals. As a conference. We (SCSU) should be happy we get the extra time as well since we only need one win to make it, even though we have to play #1 to get there.

Actual word is that UND wanted the earlier game to be more rested for the next one. Makes sense since there are two games, win or lose.
