Glad we could finally get Miami. We've had a few chances over the last few years and so we'll take it in a game where we probably didn't deserve to still be in the game let alone come away with the win.

I'm starting a new business, selling "Underwear for the Deaf".

I hear that! I've been telling every deaf person I know! They seem very excited... or confused... I'm not sure because I can't understand what they're saying. If I was a sales person for your business, I'd sell a million pairs by claiming they block the sound of farts.

I wonder how funny this post will seem when I sober up?

Only 11 SOG for SCSU but 4 goals! Only 3 SOG in 2nd and 3 in 3rd periods. Way to turn up the heat in that first period. Evidently SCSU didn't really need to outwork Miami the last two periods to get the win.


This proves the superiority of the WCHA teams over those teams back east.

Does anybody know how Maine's OT game winner was scored. I was sitting directly behind the net and could figure it out. It looked like we had it behind the net and then suddenly, *poof* red light.

I didn't see the game, but I would bet that someone shot the puck into the net.

Never mind. Finally found a recap.

Gustav Nyquist (Malmo, Sweden) tipped the puck off the boards up to Matt Mangene. Mangene then found Spencer Abbott (Hamilton, Ontario) who had a great scoring chance, but it was Mangene trailing the play that was able to knock home the puck, giving Maine the 3-2 win 2:39 into the extra frame.
