Last Husky sweep in Grand Forks was Jan 27-28, 2006. Balanced scoring is a Husky advantage this season, and if Faragher can repeat his strong showing from his last outing at the Ralph, I see the Huskies taking at least 2 points.

I think there is a better chance of SCSU sweeping Minnesota at the NHC than to sweep UND at the Ralph.

Great history at Grand Forks. The key word is history. Under Hakstol..... zero national titles. For a team and fan base that think every year is a national championship year, you guys are more like the Atlanta Falcons of college hockey. Lots of trips, lots of great regular seasons, lots of great players and teams and no titles. A storied program for sure. That can't be argued. But at this moment in time, in this season, you are very good. Kristo, Grimaldi, and Knight are studs. But as a whole, you are far from great. And definately far from unbeatable by anyone at anytime. SCSU has been scary good at times and just plain scary at others. Which one shows up Friday and Saturday? Much like a coin flip, who knows. No result would be surprising to me. All I know is going into Englestad will be very tough. Good luck Huskies.

UND currently has won the Broadmoor Trophy three years in a row, during that time UND also went to the Frozen finishing third and won a MacNaughton Cup as well. I think he was referring to willy's comment that SCSU has no chance at a MacNaughton Cup. Many UND fans think they have a championship-caliber team every year, but have been proven wrong. Who is to say they won't be wrong about SCSU? That was the point of his post, I think.

It was a split in November in St. Cloud and was very evenly played except for a few defensive breakdowns. SCSU was home and had an edge in shots both games. Both teams added two very good players and it is in Grand Forks so I expect it to be even better.

Any history beyond that is irrelevant.

I would, but lack of funding this year. Once I get up to Grand Forks, everything is free, but getting there is a different story.

Don't you mean the Minnesota Vikings of college hockey? Except the Sioux actually have some (7) championships in their history. But yes, history has no place in this series. Don't think SCSU is as tough as Minny tho, just sayin'.
