End of the 1st, SOG 20-6 in favor of UND, but Dunn standing tall so far and it's 2-0 SCSU on the SHG by Novak and the 2nd chance by Lasch. Up in the air as to whether the UND goal by Hextall that was waved up should stand. The audio clearly shows that the whistle went off after the puck was in the net, but one could argue that the official had made his mind to blow the whistle with the puck under the pad then it was pushed in before he did so. He waved it off immeadiately, evidentally he had made the decision to blow the play dead before the puck went in. "Puck went in after the whistle" is greatly misleading though, since that was clearly not the case.

Right... even though on replay you can see the puck sitting right next to the pad from the overview cam then lasch gets his stick on it to flip it in. Lot of slashing that was

It's pretty warranted. I'm not one to complain about refs outside of my own verbal abuse in front of my TV, but... Way to completely blow a call!!!!!!!!! freaking idiots.

I can't remember from the replay, but is it apparent when Don is starting to get ready to blow the whistle?Why add judgment calls to the mix when our refs have proven to be completely incompetent to begin with?

So if the goalie is actually covering the puck, the players can jab at him until it goes in as long as it's before the whistle is physically blown? That's pretty stupid too.

Trouble is that this wasn't a case of a quick whistle cause he blew it after the puck was in the net. Doesn't matter now anyways. Bad call, thats the way it goes.
