The party has said this for like forty years and we ended up with Trump, the SC, and all houses turning red. Sorry but this isn't the 90's anymore.

Collins arguing on CBS that Dr. Ford should have stayed silent. Yes, I'm reading between the lines.

Collins is America. No other Senator represents America more than Susan Collins. No one.

Turtle Boy in two interviews this morning clarified Garland.

When the President is one party, and the Senate is controlled by the other, you cannot nominate anyone until after the election. That's the thread he has needled. And he's obstinate about it. I'm not sure he's wrong that it hasn't happened since the late 1880's but it's probably because it is so rare that he found himself a nice loophole. I bet he did study the issue and I bet he's not lying about what he believes.

Dr. Ford, however, is lying about what she believes. Oh, something happened to her but it wasn't Kavanaugh who did it.

A bunch of Yale professors went public about opposing him. Hell hundreds across the country did. I know I posted a tweet about both at some point. I dont know if Yale itself opposed him but they certainly didnt support him.

So yeah we should do it your way and lose every election. You want someone better run someone better. No one is stopping the pure ones you love from running for office anyone can do it. If they lose though you cant keep whining about this you plug your nose and vote for the D.

See the misconception you and many others seem to have is that the Dems lose because they dont run the best candidate. No. They lose because their voters are whiny little pi ssants who vote too often on principle. The GOP votes in lockstep whether they like the guy or not. Trumpers threatened Cruz's wife, Trump accused his dad of killing a President...Cruz 100% backs Trump. Trump eviscerates Lindsay Graham's best friend John McCain...Graham supports Trump 100%. Their voters follow the letter behind the name.

Lets use a sports analogy. The Dems are the NFL Players Union. You ever notice that NFL strikes inevitably fail...you know why? Because there is no cohesiveness to their union. Sooner or later someone will cross the picket line, then the big contract guys will join them and the owners win. They have no unity.

The GOP is the Baseball Union. Those guys, no matter if the demands make sense to them personally or not, will always be in lock step. Crossing the picket line has some pretty harsh consequences and the players all agree 100%. They cancelled a friggin World Series over their grievances, almost killed baseball completely. Didnt matter they were in it to win it.

You (and I obviously dont mean you personally you just represent a large segment of the liberal Left) want to run someone better, run them. Understand though the second they lose you shut your mouth and vote Democrat. You dont disparage the nominee, you dont claim conspiracy, and you dont vote third party. If the Dems want to win this is how it has to be until the GOP returns from the Dark Ages. This is not some morality tale, this is not some hypothetical in PoliSci 1001, we need to be in it to win it. And that means even Joe Manchin, who is a current Democratic US Senator and the current Dem nominee in his state, has to have our support.

Kennedy was confirmed on 2/3/1988 by Reagan through a Democratic Senate. Mitch as usual is a big lying mother****er.

(the vote was 97-0, but that's not the point.)

Mitch got called out twice by John Dickerson. Dickerson basically called him a liar on TV and Mitch threw a childish fit.

I don't think Kennedy specifically was brought up. I could be wrong, but I didn't hear that.
 
Handy we’ve seen socialists and those with a more populist approach win in rural areas and suburbs (Connor Lamb, transgender woman in Virginia) so maybe stop with this, “the only way we can win is by doing all the same things that have caused the Dems to lose everything”, nonsense.

And yes they should run more of those people but then maybe the party shouldn’t support the Republican governor over Ben Jealous and other equally stupid moves when they do. Sorry but this starts at the top, blaming the voters is counterproductive.

You’re probably right right. Either way, he absolutely embarrassed Mitch. Mitch doesn’t go on tv with many smart people it seems. Dickerson is incredibly intelligent and knows his history. Mitch brought a nerf bat to a gunfight.

Except it doesn't matter, since Mitch's base won't believe anything Dickerson pointed out. Assuming they even watched, which many of them didn't, because LIBRUL MEDIA WAAAARGARBL.

By tomorrow morning, Breitbart, Conservative Treehouse, etc. will have puff pieces out claiming Dickerson tried and falied to "gotcha" Mitch, and everything will be status quo.

Yeah, some people work for good companies. Companies that value their employees and want to take care of them, cause happy employees are more productive employees. Unfortunately, those companies are few and far between.


I had shoulder surgery back in March. $20,000 something for the surgery, and another 3000+ for the anesthesiologist. Other than the $1000 bucks I paid out in physical therapy copays, my out of pocket costs were something like $700.


My employer takes care of the people working for them.
