No reason for it to. Why didn't we hear about Anita Hill until Thomas was being vetted?

Five years ago no one says anything but in the #metoo era it will for sure. Plus the entire hearing was a joke which will provoke people to act as well.

Plus just because it wasn't public doesn't mean people didn't talk...

The question is why was the letter forwarded to the FBI. Maybe because Feinstein is a moron, since the FBI doesn't investigate 40 year old sexual assault accusations. Or maybe something beyond a 40 year old sexual assault accusation was in the letter.

Or maybe because the FBI handles background checks and they ****ed his up?

I guess you're going to have to provide a link for your source that 90% of republicans vote for a candidate based upon a single issue. That doesn't jibe with the consensus around here that it's all based upon race, guns, and abortion.

The problem with the Kavanaugh allegation is it breaks one of Gibbs' Rules, specifically Rule 4, and Rule 4 is a truism of life:

"If you have a secret, the best thing is to keep it to yourself. The second-best is to tell one other person if you must. There is no third best."

If the allegation is true three people knew for 40 years and that'd be a hard secret to keep.
