Neumann awarded penalty shot for a Hobart player throwing his stick. Nobody in the press box saw whaterver the refs saw. Mike Rey took the shot but Nick Broadwater stoned him. Still scoreless.

Hobart draws first blood, shorthanded. Bobby Hannah makes a strong move into the zone and tucks it inside far post at 12:53.

Hobart scores again at 15:48, this time off a scramble at side of net that Greg Ciciola puts in.

Then Hobart romped again17:03, the Statesmen score again off a turnover. Peter Quigley score.

3-0 Hobart over Neumann with 2:27 remaining in second period.
