Crash or not, they (and the whole ECAC W) are on life support. Pool B use to be their "automatic" ticket in, not anymore...
Just flipping through the TV channels, Niagara 3....RIT 0 in the second. Game is on CBS SPORTS NETWORK.
One thing that did NOT impress me was the Niagara rink......Many DIII venues are a whole lot nicer!!I had that game on the TV, Elmira Men @ Neumann on the desktop, and Elmira Women @ Oswego on the laptop. At least two out of the three were enjoyable!
TV coverage of RIT games (at least in NY) is one of the benefits of the DI jump. All remaining regular-season home games are on Time Warner in this (Elmira) area. [College Hockey TV schedule] I do hope that this coverage will continue, being that this year appears to be shaping-up as a “down-year”. Hopefully Time Warner will stick with this offering, and even expand their coverage to more NY teams (including DIII!). They do a great job covering the RIT home games. HD, with multiple camera angles, good replay analysis, and quality on-air personalities (even if they are “Tiger-centric”!).
I remember a few years ago being stuck in Minneapolis for the night due to flight cancellations, and getting to see RIT play Air Force on a nationally-broadcasted game at the hotel bar. But yeah... they lost that one too.
No TV for me tonight though... I’m going to catch what could be my last RIT game at Ritter Arena. And if I can “score some Wifi” there, I may just have the Elmira game(s) on my phone to-boot! Some may accuse me of sacrilege, but I don’t care!
Cheers,
~TTF
