It’s supposed to be out West next year.
On campus, though??

Yes.
That's the goal -- a western campus site. 2021 as well.
Given that the national championship game is on my birthday next year, I can think of no greater present from the NCAA than a Frozen Four at the CCC.
Superior would probobly be the only on campus rink in Wisconsin that could do the FF. I think Marian would have the capacity to hold it, but they are in the same situation as St. Norbert I believe. The biggest problem with that is St. Norbert doesn't own the CCC. Can the CCC be able to guarantee a ton of ice time devoted to the NCAA? Especially at the last minute since a decision won't be made till the final four teams are known?
In the past, when neutral sites were looked at in the West and facilities had plenty of time to plan out their ice time, the CCC had no desire to bid on it. So, I think the answer to the above question is no.

Stevens Point and Gustavus could, but they have to make it. (Capacity won't be as big of a factor when an on-campus site is selected, unlike a neutral site where capacity is a key factor.)
The NCAA could be in a bind here with this strategy. Of course, they could revert to an Eastern campus site as a Plan B, but like joecct posted, what happens if the "traditional" powers with the capable rinks don't make it?

This is incorrect. The Resch Center did not want to bid on it without a guarantee St. Norbert would be in, and understandably so with other events they can book in the building on a weekend. The Cornerstone typically has no issues with ice time in late March.
I could sware the capacity is a requirement ?
Well, if your capacity is Hobart, then yes.
But for non-predetermined sites, they may not have a choice when the final selection has to be made amongst just four schools. Do you think they will just cancel the championship because they couldn't find a host rink with enough capacity?![]()
I just simply remember from years past that an arena had to have a minimum to host the final four.

CCC is hosting the USAH Tier II 18U championship the week after Easter (Thurs -> Mon).
That's why I excluded Hobart... (Well, that and no locker rooms...)
There's always been some sort of minimum, for sure. I believe for pre-determined sites, the minimum is a lot higher than for a spur of the moment host site.
And what does that have to do with the NCAA?
Those USAH tournaments bring a ton of money into the local community, so many times it's the community that gets behind a bid and convinces the rink to go along. Amherst, NY hosts one nearly every year for that very reason.
They can find space if they have to.
Is perhaps the point that CCC is unavailable because it is hosting that tourney? I don't have a calendar or NCAA dates in front of me...
