Say hello to my little friend.

Every comment I’ve seen so far on this story has been comical.

Sorry, Kep, but when I saw this post I thought we might be headed for an Anthony Weiner moment.

And yet... you clicked.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

So now you're saying that you're a Catholic priest?

SpaceX Falcon Heavy now scheduled for 8:00 pm. Upper winds may push that back
-------

@SpaceX: New T-0 of 8:32 p.m. EDT due to upper-level winds. Vehicle and payload still look good for launch.

That's the very end of the launch window. I'd be surprised if it actually goes.

What is the actual economics of recovery? It saves money to reuse pieces but it also costs money to retrieve them and of course for the tech to make them recoverable in the first place (though I guess that's sunk cost?).

I have no doubt they come out ahead because (1) they can charge so much less and (2) why do it otherwise? But what are the actuals for the ROI on reusability? Are they recovering a majority of the cost of the components?

According to Musk, the first stage accounts for 75% of the cost of a Falcon 9.

Does he recoup all of it?
