let me give you some Scotch to try out. But don't drive afterward. Dalwhinne is really smooth and tasty. one of the best. Scapa, if you can find it is my favorite, but it is hard to get. Highland park is pretty good too. My Gf likes Caol ila. it's distilled in a different area and has a very smoky taste, much different than mainline scotch.
