What a horribly officiated game. Two huge checking from behind calls went uncalled. I'm glad Rapuzzi is still able to walk, he got hit with a cheap crosscheck to the back of the neck. The Wisconsin player stood over and acted like a saint, holding his hands up acting like he did nothing. In the 3rd period, Jaden Schwartz was hit from behind with a vicious hit. With Owens and rest of the team in an uproar and the crowd booing, no call. You have to be kidding me. Then Howe is hit three times intentially with the third an elbow to the head. That should have been a five minute hit to the head call.

Wisconsin didn't deserve that win; but the Tigers didn't play well enough to finish off the Badgers. I hope the Badgers don't goon it up tomorrow night, I'm sure they will. clutch and hold hockey is how bad teams like Wisconsin thrive in the lawless WCHA.

Scott Winkler is a beast. He is showing why he is property of the Dallas Stars. He was just big enough to break through the clutching and holding from the Badgers. Jaden Schwartz and Stephen Shutlz played well and got a lot of chances, same for Nick Dineen. As for the rest of the team, it's gut check time. Lowry and Guentzel need to show up. Our D-core needs them to actually show up. Howe needs to be sharper (NO more soft goals please).

At the end of the night, I still believe.

Go Tigers!

I pretty much agree with everything PenatlyBoxBeast said.

Winkler consistently shows that he's more than just size by his speed and grace on the ice. I wish he was rewarded for that more often. Krushelnyski favors fancy stickwork over hard, stick-to-it play and that also shows. He has the ability to be such an incredible player but needs to think more as a team instead of an individual - I'm not worried, this will come with time.

Definitely agreed on our defense needing some discipline. Guentzel is usually one of my favorite players... solid, dependable, and an offensive threat, as well as defensive rock. But tonight's game was full of sloppy, rookie moves, even from Guentzel. The guys need to just concentrate and play their game.

I'm excited to be at tomorrow's game and hope that the crowd will be a little more excited! Go Tigers!!!
