Sacred Heart @ RPI, Sat October 19th

Re: Sacred Heart @ RPI, Sat October 19th

Lots of good things leading to a weekend where we outscore the opposition 10-2. Couple of sluggish sloppy period sof time but overall a very solid weekend. it does not get any easier coming up. Agree with RB-would have liked to see at least a few minutes of our back up goalie-especially on family night. Go red!!!

BU defeated UW 7-3. Not a good weekend for Wisconsin in Boston.

Very subdued celebrations after the goals. The second Haggery goal was almost a matter of fact little congratulation. Wonder if this is an SA idea? Not to get too exubberant? if it was me i would be high fiving the gamera and riding the stick the length of the ice.:D

Probably because these kids have scored before, and quite a bit at that. I could understand some celebration from Reno for his first, Haggerty for his hat trick (don't understand his wall slam for the goal judge on his first), or maybe someone that really doesn't score very often if at all. However, what Ovechkin does, or even if you cross sports some of those NFL players do after a touchdown, just looks stupid, and is not something you want to show. Maybe also a little sportsmanship involved, since you're beating a team that you beat 6-0 the previous night, so why rub it in?

I totally agree with you. Unless it is a special goal (first of a career or a game winner in overtime etc.) there really is no need for over doing it. Especially when you are beating up on an opponent.

....perhaps in retrospect of Greg B.'s goal vs Brown in last year's playoffs.
