Sacred Heart @ RPI, Sat October 19th

Re: Sacred Heart @ RPI, Sat October 19th

I don't think one can expect a team to ever play a perfect game. We certainly played a good game vs. BU even though you are correct that we had a let down in the second. It looked like we were giving the game away when they scored in the last minute of the second, but then we scored in the first minute of the third -- I can't complain.

Of course-tonight I am only a bit concerned about special teams(as always-but a bit more so). Sacred Heart in the early going has been far better in odd man situations than we have. Both on the PP and short handed. Their overall special teams play is near the top of the NCAA. If this is one of those multi penalty fests-this one could be a bit tougher. If we can keep this as a 5 on 5 game i think we should be able to keep rolling lines and the cream should rise to the top.

Bourbonnais might be in the doghouse without having played.

Not to sound like Hokeydope, but given what I saw in Lincoln, I can't say I'm surprised. He was benched for the entire first period, and wasn't all that strong in the rest of the game. Granted, he wasn't playing with a very good team in Sioux City.

Any comments from the Tailgate?

JL's uncle was disappointed you weren't there, he was hoping to meet this "Ralph Baer" he's seen on the blogs. No joke.

Got to meet a bunch of the players' parents, had a great time.

Unfortunately I had to leave before alot of people got there, but I got to meet babo (officially, this time) and Wicked (I'm sure I met more people, but their USCHO names weren't given to me). Also, the BRO's uncle is a great guy who I enjoyed talking with. I hope everyone enjoyed the Puckman cake. I hope someone posts a picture here as it was a beauty.

Does anyone know who these kids are that are leading the team out to start the game? Or where they come from or how they are selected?
