I see how it is, Father.
Let's go Red! It's great for the boys to finally play a home game. Hopefully the crowd is pumped up and active!
Mea culpa! Mea culpa! I should have remembered that, by tradition, when RPI wins the last thread starter has the option to start the new game thread.
I should have been zzzz instead of posting.![]()
I'ld expect a physical game from SHU tonight. Lot of chippiness in the 3rd period last Sat. could carry over to tonight. First, SHU beats UM-L....then gets spanked by us in front of their fanD)....then they beat Bentley who had beaten UN-O. Anyone think we'll get to see Big RB today? Kid has to be chomping at the bit. I know Lali has 4a so far but 1SOG in 3 games......c'mon man. Light MUP UP UP.

not Union. He played @ Vermont before transferring to SHU.EHF's right about being ready to play tonight. We started the weekend well, let's finish it well, too. It's about commitment and maturity to see it through.
PS- Thought I'd read that Sacred Heart's #1 goalie was originally committed to Union. We'll probably see him tonight. FWIW...

We have to guard against a let down. Big win last night and an easy win in Bridgeport last week make for an overconfident RPI team.
A good team always beats the teams they are supposed to beat. And this is one of those games.
Keep the pressure on for sixty minutes.
Historically one could expect a let down. Optimistically, I predict there won't be one or at least not enough to make a difference in the end result.
RPI Lines are out, no changes.... http://www.rpiathletics.com/documents/2013/10/19/2013-14MHKYLineChart_SH.pdf?id=1648
Great!!! Nobody got hurt and nobody earned a spot in the chateau bowwow. The depth up front is starting to show a little as SA seems to have the ability to roll 4 lines that all can keep some offensive pressure on. Turk-you coming down to Princeton this year? We are as usual in section 124.
I don't think one can expect a team to ever play a perfect game. We certainly played a good game vs. BU even though you are correct that we had a let down in the second. It looked like we were giving the game away when they scored in the last minute of the second, but then we scored in the first minute of the third -- I can't complain.Hopefully you are correct. I did not take all that much away from the game last night. Even winning 3-1 for most of the second period it sure sounded like BU was going to take it away from us. We were able to stay out of the box and we got excellent goaltending and a crucial goal in the third by Haggerty to take a ton of pressure off. History tells me we play to the competition-problem is, I just do not have a handle on the competition. We handled them a week ago fairly well but they have played well against other very good teams. Hopefully the officials will not be deciding this game and we are still fresh after a nice evening in Boston. Go Red!!!
