Sacred Heart 2019-20

Re: Sacred Heart 2019-20

We don’t waste time gloating over wins or crying about losses. We focus on practicing and making our team better.
If you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse.

Might have a shot at winning CT Ice this year at home. Nice to see the team do well.

Is anybody going? Does anybody care?
I've been going to Heart games for the past 8 years and have had this tournament marked since it was confirmed, but now I'm reconsidering. I'm not crazy about them charging ncaa playoff prices and suspect that the city will jack up parking to $20 a day. It becomes a costly venture for a senior used to paying a very reasonable 5 bucks a game to see Heart games. Plus all games will be on tv

I hope that Heart does well. Maybe it could finally spur more people to go to games. They are putting a good product on ice this year. Still, nobody goes. Even in Heart's bad years, Div. 1 hockey is very entertaining. Quinnipiac draws great, Yale draws great, even Uconn draws well in Hartford. Why can't Heart? Youth Hockey and high school hockey does well in Fairfield county.

I believe Heart could join the other ct. teams in attendance if they built a campus rink.

Here's hoping that this weekend's tournament lends help toward that end.

GO HEART!

Re: Sacred Heart 2019-20

I bought a two day pass and at almost $90 with the exorbitant fees I don’t think it is going to be worth it. The single day prices were even worse. Unfortunately, I think this two year experiment will die the slow death it deserves because of poor planning and over pricing. Pro tip for that rink, park in the lot behind Ralph and Rich’s Restaurant for free. A slightly longer walk than the official lot.

Re: Sacred Heart 2019-20

Another tip. Skip the fees and buy at the arena box office. There will be plenty of tickets available. You'll probably be able to sit anywhere you want, once you are in the building.

Re: Sacred Heart 2019-20

Wow. Sorry. I saw that tickets would be $70 for 2 days. It's such a rip off that they add nearly 20 bucks on top of that. What are the fees for? It was probably even more expensive going thru ticketmaster.

Saw today that Heart announced a new campus rink to open in 2022. Great news.

A new rink, a strong OOC win against an Ivy, and Sacred Heart ends the day having lost sole possession of first place. Hardly seems fair.
