Looks like the River Hawks are going to make it 0-2 for the WCHA as they are clobbering Wisconsin with a minute to go.

Disagree. I claim this victory on behalf of the NCHC. ONE & Oh BABY! The Big Ten on the other hand is already eliminated.

Let me understand this correctly .... the old WCHA which had six teams in the NCAA tournament and claimed hereditary rights in perpetuity to all four slots in the frozen 4 now have a record of 1-2 after the first night and if New Hampshire can maintain its 3-2 lead, it will have a record of 1-3. Is this correct? And the one win was a 2-1 one against very good but inexperience Niagara team who gave them all they could handle? Do I have this correct? Have I got this right? Well, well well ... we will have to see how things work out tomorrow when the other old WCHA teams come to play, to see if they do better.:)

Update - UNH 5 Denver 2 with 1 minute. NOT good for the old WCHA self esteem ....

HE - 2-0
ECAC - 1-0
AH - 0-1
WCHA 1-3 *
* self proclaimed superstar league

Go figure :)

It's a real shame two Hockey East powers have to meet in the regional finals. The NCAA should have distributed them so we could have an all-Hockey East Frozen Four.

Clearly the NCAA screwed the WCHA by not putting together an all WCHA regional so their teams could actually win a couple games and be guaranteed a team in the FF. That **** NCAA, always trying to stick it to the big, bad, vastly superior WCHA.

I think next year's WCHA might have more success in the NCAA tournament than this years! :eek:
