Ralph, that is a very odd way to try to cheer me up . The thing is, once you commit to being a fan of any team you hang on every small straw. For the RPI women, now, the only possible redemption for this season is to win the Union weekend, (next weekend) but that would require an upset. Lord, I can't believe I just said that RPI women are underdogs against Union!
The interesting thing is that the women are not as badly outmatched as the 65-66 men's team was. That team had the benefit of playing quite a few games vs non-D-I opponents and winning a couple of them. Against legitimate D-I opponents they were totally outclassed, e.g. 16-1 vs. Clarkson and 14-0 vs. Northeastern. DrD probably remembers how many saves Dick Greenlaw made in a 9-0 loss to BU. IIRC, he received one of the 3 Stars.
