RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

Re: RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

At least we won that period-and no further damage done. Union seems to be in their prevent defense.

3-2 Union

3-2 Union

Re: RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

Prior to tonight, RPI has played back-to-back games on five weekends. In each of those weekends, they entered the sixth period with a lead.

Against Army, they blew the lead and lost.
Against SLU, they blew the lead and lost.
Against Alaska, they blew the lead and ended up in a tie.
Against AIC, they blew the lead but came back to win the game.
The game against Brown was the only one of the five in which they did not blow the lead, and they would have blown that one had York not made a spectacular save while the score was still 2-1.

Hope Union plays their sixth period the way RPI has done on those five previous occasions.

Edit - and while I was typing this pessimistic post, the third period started and RPI scored.

Maybe it's working. :)

Re: RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

We've had some chances-give the boys a lot of credit coming back from 3-0 and not folding. But it appears those early 5 on 3's did the damage

Re: RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

RPI penalty number 6-and that may be the end-not really a great call

Re: RPI vs Union (Tournament Championship)

Union 4-2 again on the power play-SA has got to deal with the weak PK we have.
