Wow, RPI is actually going to get a power play?!?!?!

Union is a VERY coddled team.

Of course, that would be a blessing in disguise, as this will just be pass pass turnover.

But if it's a thrown stick, shouldn't that be a penalty shot?

I thought a thrown stick meant a penalty shot.

But then, last week I thought that icing couldn't be called if the puck went through the crease, so my expertise on the current rule book is seriously in question. ;)

Seems like we almost never take fewer penalties than any opponent and tonight is no difference

Thrown stick being a penalty shot is definitely in the rule book, but is one of those obscure rules you don't see often. And indeed, Rule 55 allows for a penalty shot.

Be aware that Appert COULD HAVE declined the penalty shot for a minor.
