Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

Boys should be ready to play-perahps any tiredness from the flight was worked out yesterday. Hope we can earn a split out west and come home with some good feelings and momentum. This is such a young team that it may well be a learning process. Defense seemed to play well enough only giving up 3 goals but offense needs to get untracked. Hope i can keep my eyes open for tonight. It is a late start

I think that you hit the nail on the head. We have a very young offense, and the trip to Alaska may have been a bigger distraction than they expected.
I don't know if that will go away tonight, but at least they have some game experience to help them get over it.
We did show some speed at times. We had some very good opportunities that we just couldn't cash in. We did a pretty good job of staying out of the penalty box.
We just seemed listless for most of the game.
Tonight could be different, but we are playing a ranked team that put a lot of shots on RMU last night. We had better be ready.

LETS GO RED!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

I've alive and kicking tonight.

And alert enough to realize they just played this song.

0-0 and the game hasn't begun yet

0-0 and the game hasn't begun yet

I am not used to being able to post final scores of three of our recruits' games before our game starts. :) Only Matt Tinordi of Olds (AJHL) is still playing.

Also, it certainly isn't the usual music on WRPI.

Must be a substitute DJ.

However, the theme for hockey IS usual. What song is it, BTW?

If Alan plays tonight, gotta CONTROL THOSE REBOUNDS!

Also, let's not slip into the old habits.

Anyone have the line chart? The sidearmstats has our pictures with RMU's numbers. I suppose that it will get fixed.

Good to see that we have a few regulars for the start of this game. Question is, how many will be left at the end.;)

I think that Kurt Stutt posted it about a decade go, but I have forgotten. Are you there, Kurt?

Re: RPI vs. UAF 10/17/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

A UA_ win or tie gives them the title.
If RPI wins by 1, UAA and UA_ split the title with both of them finishing with a +1 goal differential.
RPI by 2 or 3 gives UAA the outright win.
RPI by 4 means that RPI and UAA split the title (I'm guessing that UAA would win because UAA won the head-to-head matchup).
And, RPI by 5 sends us home with the title.

I'd love to stay up and listen, but I've got to do some driving tomorrow and really need to get some sleep.

Let's go RED!
