Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

The time on the game notes says 4:35 pm, but I'm suspecting that's Alaskan time, correct?

Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

I'll be at the women's game tonight but will bring a radio with me to tune in to WRPI during lulls in the action. Might be on here later in the game.

Let's Go Red!

Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

Looking forward to a tough away game. I would love to see us keep the penalties down and play 5 on 5 for long periods during the game.
Bigger ice surface a long trip make this even more difficult, but if the boys play for 60 minutes the result will take care of itself.

LETS GO RED!!!!!

Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

I may miss the early part of the game as we expect to be out so please keep posting good notes. I think it is colder here in souther NJ than it is out in Alaska right now-the high for the day so far here is 43. Feels more like december than october.

RPI Lines
D'Amigo, Polacek, Helfrich
Cullen, Pirri, O'Grady
Lee, Angers-Goulet, Halpern
Vassel, Malchuk, Kerins

Defense
Bergin, Foss
Brutlag, Burgdoerfer
Merth, Kennedy

Goal
York
Merriam

scratches
Jensen, Smith, Beauregard, Zarbo, Rabbani, Watts, Harkenrider, Morissette

Good to see Scott back in the line-up; I'm sure he will show why he deserves to play tonight. Also good to see Chase and Tyler back on the same line (unless I wasn't paying attention during last week's game), and a good spread on the freshmen. I think we might be able to expect well from Pat tonight, as he's got the frosh with him. Never doubt 19.

And JF, I would consider this a lull for Ralph's posting.

Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

Slow down with the posts Ralph. Its not nearly December! :D :p

I was trying to guess myself. Considering that I averaged slightly over 60 posts in the 3 earlier game threads this year, I suspect that I will make it in November. :D

The only change up front is Halpern in for Rabbani. The other three lines are unchanged. It's the same six defensemen, but I would have to check if any of the pairings have changed.

Surprised to see Rabbani sitting again. Is there a chance that he is injured?
I thought he played well Saturday, and I like what he brings to the game.:(

Not to mention, his contribution to a horn blast.

Perhaps he didn't do well in practice, or because it's Olympic ice, Coach wishes to sacrifice body build for speed. On an NHL-sized rink, Josh would play a lot (though I don't know why not against UPEI).

Re: RPI vs. UAA 10/16/09 (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

You sold out.

1-0 Mercyhurst (or as I am calling them, Cornell with ponytails) after one. RPI missed an open net on a shorthanded breakaway early on. Had the goalie deked out of her pads.
