RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

Re: RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

We continue having the edge in first periods-nice to play with a lead anytime you can get it

Re: RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

Polacek's 9th already ... Remember 07-08, when 9 goals tied for the team high?

Re: RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

9 goals for Polacek this year - the graduating class last year combined for 16.

Is there any record of where six stands in the "consecutive games with a goal" category in the Engineer annals?

Re: RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

1st period ends with RPI up 1-0.
It is amazing what a little talent can do for your power play. :D

Obviously there are a lot of differences this year-but the improved power play may be the biggest. It is virtually adding a goal a game to our offense. Now let's not take any stupid penalties in the second period-the refs may be watching closely to even up the calls a bit.

Re: RPI vs St. Lawrence: Saturday, 11/14/09

That was RPI's 12th power play goal of the season. They had 12 in all of 07-08 and 17 in all of 08-09.

With Helfrich and Polacek basically joined at the hip since they came onside 2 and a bit years ago...and now Helfrich being out and Chase producing as he is...it bodes very well for when Helfrich comes back and is involved with other linemates like Cullen etc.

Pretty nice how things are shaping up and the confidence will continue to grow. :D

Pretty tame crowd here at Appleton tonight, except for the one a-hole with a snare drum who feels compelled to bang on it whenever our band is playing.

Can't quote from my phone, but GLM - I think this may actually be more annoying in person than the bell. The bell is far worse over the radio though.
