I refrained from starting this thread as I did not want to jinx us. The team pulled out a tough one last night. I love that they seem to be able to just ignore when a team scores a couple goals in the third period to tie them-and then go on to score a game winner. We may be witnessing the maturation of a team into a very competitive group. I will be glued to the TV tonight at 7:36 and hoping the boys can give their best effort. Let's Go Red!!

I know it is a stupid superstition-but living and dying for RPI hockey I grasp at any straws we can get. I really think we can play to the competition tonight-and MSU is a very good team. Again it may be special teams that deteermine this game and I at least hope the refs give us a fair shake. Last night we were called for twice as many penalties as MU(perhaps we deserved a good portion of them) but a full 2 minute 5 on 3 in the third called for hits that went on most of the game?

Another reason that we won yesterday is that I didn't go. It also is the reason that there hasn't been a blizzard in Detroit. :)

Red started the second half with a bang last night. After last night's game, we won't creep up on State (they're a good team) but I believe we're a good team, too. Let's play our game.

Anyone need a ticket for tonight's game? We have an extra one in section 110 (you would be sitting with RPI fans) Ticket is $22 however would consider a reasonable offer for it.

All during yesterday's games, the marquee at the Joe advertized the Third Place game between Tech and RPI and the Championship game between UM/MSU..... Pretty cheeky of them to do, eh? As if they somehow divined the outcome? Guess little ole RPI showed up the "powers that be". Will they do that next year? Pretty da[r]ned arrogant of them.

Welcome to the CCHA, Michigan is extremely arrogant.

Also why do you have just the 4 games listed at the bottom? Michigan and BU aren't very good this year and I wouldn't count them as good wins. If you look at the PWR the Union win was bigger than both of those. But your one word describes them well. I was more impressed with their win last night playing without D'amigo and in a hostile environment, but not surprised that RPI won. Gl tonight, Sparty is very solid scoign 10 goals with 9 different goal scorers.

I'm very surprised York isn't listed as the starter. Was it the groin area he hurt at yesterdays game? Whatever it is, must be worse today.

I hope that York isn't seriously hurt. Bringing in some fresh players for tonight should be expected, as playing defense all night like we did, can take a lot out of a team.
Need to be fresh tonight and play a little more in the offensive zone.
I didn't think we would win last night giving up over 45 shots. And I don't think we will win tonight if we give up that many.
I would say that we should stay out of the penalty box, but after the third period last night, I don't think we will have a lot to say about that. :mad:

Without York and possibly Helfrich this could be a tough road. Here's hoping for the best.

Appert didn't mention anything about a York injury. He was looking to put Merriam in at the beginning of the week.
