Right. So the d gets all of the blame and the forwards get back slaps for almost. Got it.

Did someone give out a backslap somewhere for the 2 goal performance? You should go into every game planning on scoring 4 goals. That's how you win games. When you only score 2 and have a lead with 3 minutes left, you don't blame the offense for losing in regulation. I'm not harping on Leonard, he just had a bad game.

Re: RPI vs Michigan, Saturday, November 29th

Alec Dillon is back in the net for Tri-City after being backup for several games.

Re: RPI vs Michigan, Saturday, November 29th

Michigan has just been the more physical team fighting for pucks in our zone and keeping things in. We started out as the faster team but the physical play has just slowed us down and Michigan has just out muscled us to most pucks.

So you just contradicted yourself. You go into a game planning to score 4 goals, but you only score two. Who's fault is it that they didn't score 4? I'm sure they didn't "plan" (your words) to give up three goals either.

Re: RPI vs Michigan, Saturday, November 29th

Again DrD, with all due respect, how is this the fault of one guy? There's 4 other people that could have cleared the puck.

You did not read the entire statement-sure it was a big error-but the entire team has to be at fault when a fellow is allowed to skate the length of the ice untouched for a score. Leonard takes some blame-but so does everyone on the ice for that play. That score was a team error.

Amazingly, you ignore the fact the kid nearly skated unmolested the length of the ice before he got to d zone...it's a team sport last I checked.

You go into a game with a plan. That plan changes as the game goes on. That's why teams have different systems that they run situationally. When there are 3 minutes left and you have the lead, you play a different style than when your behind. Priorities shift, and mistakes are magnified differently. Not getting walked at the top of the slot or standing around not picking up the loose man on the far side of the net should be a priority for a defenseman all game long, but it should be even more so when protecting a one goal lead at the end of the game.

If I'm not mistaken, RPI is on a power play as the second period begins.

Ouch. Glad I didn't spring for the video on this one. Hope our boys pull it together soon.
