RPI @ UVM, Friday, 11/25/22

This announcer from UVM is pretty good. Of course, he’s no Jericho… :)

The announcer is really quite good. We have been blessed with the guys who worked at WRPI for many years. The RPI TV broadcasts were excellent. Shame that we are now in a position to either have to listen to other team's stations or fork over money to ESPN which I have less than zero regard or respect for.

We're working on that. It's a changing world.

i had hoped that we could get Brackett back in the line up. Speed kills - and we are not the most potent scoring offense in hockey so we need that slightly quicker forward out there to push teams a step backward and have them play a little bit on their heels. Otherwise they fore check us to death. A little more difficult to use a heavy forceful fore check when you can get burned by a quick forward getting behind the defense.

RPI did well enough in their first 3 on 3 overtime of the year, against Mercyhurst.

Time to recall what they did right on that occasion.

Now 1-2-1 in OT this year.

RPI had a chance to win it early and were on top. Then turned the puck over in the offensive zone and after hustling back to defend the rush, an obviously winded RPI player badly lost a puck battle in the corner, the UVM player skated to the front of the net and slid the puck across the crease for an easy tap in.
