RPI & Union, Home & Home (11/2 & 11/3)

Re: RPI & Union, Home & Home (11/2 & 11/3)

Can't make it to the game?

Recovery Sports Grill

Any RPI hockey fans in the house? Our Troy location will be showing both RPI - Union games this weekend. Pregame party starts at 5 tonight!

Re: RPI & Union, Home & Home (11/2 & 11/3)

The video board at HFH is awesome but lacks SOG counter which seems to be up only during E Stewart Jones and visitor PPs but even then it didn't work. Did I miss seeing it somewhere else?

My question is will they be picking up the Union feed of tonights (saturday) game? Im pretty sure its not on Time Warner cable and I doubt RPITV would be asked to do the game at Messa....

I don't think so. They occasionally put up one of the old scoreboards at the east end of the rink and use that to display SOG, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it is hung up. They seem to not care very much about displaying it.

If you really want it, bring a notepad and a pencil. That's what we have to do at Crunch games for penalty time. ;)

I asked a relative, before buying tickets, if TWC was going to air the game and was told no. Would have preferred sitting in a bar or at home watching instead of in that ****hole they call a rink. Therefore, I am guessing they are picking up the feed from Union since I doubt they would have RPITV do it as well. That would be admitting your school sucks in that department.

RPI-TV's quality could challenge TV stations in the area!

I believe it!! Just wish it was setup for mobile viewing as well so I could have watched it on my phone while I was at the stupid wedding I had to go to last night. Tried it again but it kept buffering. I was more shocked that my phone (Droid) would not play the WRPI broadcast either. I was not a happy camper at the wedding because of this.

Re: RPI & Union, Home & Home (11/2 & 11/3)

If anyone in the capital district area is looking for tickets to game tonight I have at 4 extras (Sec 5 Row 9 seats 6-9) and maybe a few more. I plan to be at the rink around 6pm to sell if no one wants them before.

The system used to display SOG is one that rarely works for reasons I don't know. I do the computer score keeping at most games and we turn the system on but it doesn't work. It might have worked a handful of times last year. The video board on the east end is used for ACHA games and is occasionally left up, but isn't supposed to be used for D-1 games.

One person on the RPI-TV chat mentioned that he/she was at a location with knocked out power due to Sandy, and was able to watch the game mobile without data loss. Perhaps contacting RPI-TV about that would help...

Is it a programming issue? There are a couple ECSE and CSci alumni on this board that I'm sure would be willing to help out...though it means appeasing a Union fan.

You're not going to get us to believe that they used anything better than particle board to construct the Messa. :p

I had asked the question before and was told it is not setup for mobile. Are you sure they were not watching on a laptop? A mobile device but not running windows mobile. Although mine is an older version perhaps the new windows mobile version is the reason. Won't care tonight since I'll be in the ****hole watching live.

Where are our lines? Curious to see who is in goal and if SA had the balls to bench the Capo.

For future games, try downloading an app called JustPlaylists. It'll handle the .M3U file that WRPI provides for the audio stream. I had to do that while on the road at a conference the weekend of the Ferris State games.

Right here: http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs...erriam-in-goal-tonight-for-rpi-against-union/

RPI coach Seth Appert has been rotating the goalies. Merriam has started the Saturday games, while Scott Diebold has gotten the Friday starts.

One lineup change for RPI. Johny Rogic is in, and Mike Zalewski is out. Appert has juggled most of the forward lines. The only line intact is Matt Neal, Jacob Laliberte and Ryan Haggerty.

Here is the RPI lineup, starting with the forwards (LW-C-RW):
Matt Neal/Jacob Laliberte/Ryan Haggerty
CJ Lee/Mark McGowan/Zach Schroeder
Mike Zalewski/Brock Higgs/Matt Tinordi
Milos Bubela/Mark Miller/Greg Burgdoerfer

The defensive pairings are:
Guy Leboeuf/Nick Bailen
Luke Curadi/Bo Dolan
Curtis Leonard/Chris Bradley
