RPI @ Union (Friday 11/15/13)

Re: RPI @ Union (Friday 11/15/13)

Have heard Diebold's name called just far too often. Just about forgot who is in goal for Union

Re: RPI @ Union (Friday 11/15/13)

Dreaded second period lives up to it's reputation as RPI falls behind 2-1 and it would be kind to say they are being outplayed

Second period ends with Union up 2-1.
Ice has been tilted for two periods and we have left Diebold out to dry.
We owe that kid 20 minutes of offensive hockey.

Very difficult to tell much from a radio broadcast-but Kurt really gives you quite a bit of information. Does not sound like a good game for #2 and #5 tonight. Union seems to just force turnovers and get back into our zone really quickly.

Yes we do. We HAVE to score the next goal to have a chance. Union is too good a defensive team to try to rally from 3-1 down, especially at home.

We have shown absolutely no abiblity to score tonight-even the one we got was pretty much a gift goal. Down 2-1 but it sure sounds like it should be a whole lot worse and Diebold has played very well to keep it that close.

Just getting back in tonight... flow of game (Baker) coupled with U's mobile defense is leaving us bottled up. Theory: Stevens is not quite to level of recent U goalies... good but not outstanding... in the 3rd, can we mount some offense, put some shots on him? He's gotten so few shots tonight, will he be up to seeing some rubber in the 3rd (and perhaps OT) ?
