RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

That period sucked. Blown coverages, no rhythm whatsoever.

I thought it was worse than that. I have nothing good to say about our play that period. If we do not come out with urgency and play the best 20 minutes of our year-this one is over early.

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

Going to spend the time betwen periods turning all our clocks ahead. This time iIam going to be smart-I am going to turn everything ahead 2 hours-that way I can save time and won't have to do it again next year.:p

I have the off-season thread ready to post. (Had it last Sunday too.)

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

Pretty uneventful period for us. No flow or o-zone pressure. Power play looks too wide. Long passes and no speed or movement.

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

Union is playing like the top team in the league. The boys are playing like the 11th place team in the league.

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

I probably should have asked this about 30 games ago, but better late than never.

Last night's game featured two goals that were reviewed.

When a goal is reviewed, do they bring a monitor to rinkside, so that the on-ice officials can look at the replay and make the final decision? Or is the decision made by another official in the press box who looks at the replay and then notifies the on-ice officials whether it was a goal or not?

The ref who made the call is the one who reviews the play. Typically, a monitor is in the scorer's area, except at Cornell, where it's off to another room.

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

I did not think I could say this tonight-we look worse than this sounds on WRPI.

Re: RPI @ Union 3-10-12 game two

After that last little stretch I am convinced we could not score even if there was no goalie there-we just miss the net from all over.
