RPI @ UNH, Tuesday, 10/25/14

The most posts on a game thread this season, and I think everyone has been by an RPI fan,

I haven't seen this one, but Diebold absolutely stoned Clarkson twice in a row last year. It was even the NCAA play of the week, I think.
He is an excellent goaltender-he is capable of some of the most fabulous saves. But every so often, he has a lapse for a few seconds. Sometimes it does not cost us, but sometimes it does. The lapse can be in positioning, not coming out to the puck, or leaving a rebound straight out front instead of steering it to the corner. When he puts it all together, he is a top notch NCAA Division I goalie. One thing Kasdorf does better however, is hold the puck, get a freeze, and slow down the momentum of the opposing offense for a few seconds. And that, can often save you a goal or two.

Sage has guys?!

In case anyone's still wondering, there are two Sage Colleges.

There is Russell Sage College in Troy, the women's school about which RPI students learn soon after their arrival on campus, if they didn't know about it beforehand.

There is also Sage College of Albany, which is co-ed.

Evidently there is some relationship between the two colleges, though I'm not sure exactly how the relationship works.

In the basketball games this evening, RPI's men's and women's teams were facing teams from Sage College of Albany.

The Takeaway: Leonard and Diebold Lead RPI to 2-1 Non-Conference Win at UNH.....http://blog.collegehockeynews.com/2...ld-lead-rpi-to-2-1-non-conference-win-at-unh/

While the highlights were disappointing in not showing any of the RPI goals, the analysis was great. Better than anything I have seen come out of Troy or Albany.
Hope Kasdorf is ok, there is no urgency to play him this weekend, but it would be nice to have him once we are back in conference.

I would like to pass on the meeting-but being on the board, it sets a poor example. We have these things quarterly, they are poorly attended, but they drag on for hours as those who do show up always have a list of grievances and insist on getting their full time.

Too bad you can't publish an agenda the day in advance and require that anyone who wants to speak at a meeting must first receive an approved time slot on the agenda....and then have time limits on comments.

Our equivalent of the city council does that and it works quite well.

Fish: I have seen these meetings degenerate into complete mob scenes so often that I have long since given up on exerting any sort of control or order. I find them incredible tension producing and try to schedule them as far apart as the by laws allow.
